Syracuse, Kansas

Last night was an interesting night. We have thunderstorm warnings to both the North and South of us. We experience some lightning and rain, but nothing bad enough to scare us out of our tents.

Below is the radar picture during the middle of the storm. We are right in the centre in Lamar.

Today we continued our journey on the Santa Fe trail.

It was a very flat ride, but we are up against a headwind most of the way.

Our destination for the day was Syracuse Kansas. It is a smalltown of 1400. We were lucky to get a motel Room because there celebrating high school graduation today.

The big event for the day,  besides the best apple fritters we ever ate, was crossing into our 4th state, Kansas. This is gonna be a big state to cross in it looks like will be encountering headwinds in rain for at least the 1st week.   That's the way things go, we are having fun, are all feeling good, enjoying the ride looking forward to whatever it may bring in the days to come.
