Cortez, Colorado

For the 2nd day in a row we entered a different state. Today we crossed over from Utah into Colorado.   Our trek across Utah was through beautiful desert.   Shortly after entering Utah, we encountered a beautiful Oasis of cattle agriculture.

On our route today, we encountered, as usual, more climbing and variable winds. Fortunately the wind was in our favour for the last 20 miles. We got to town later than expected so were spending the night in a hotel while we prepare for our journey to Durango tomorrow.

Derald tells us that this is the pinto bean capital of the world.   Maybe we can try them tomorrow....we had Chinese food tonight.
