La Junta, Colorado

We had a lot of miles to cover today.   The nearly 75 mile ride went very well due to favorable winds most of the way, being generally downhill and excellent roads with very little traffic.

We crossed cattle country today.   If you look at the map, you many notice that there was not one gas station, town or services of any kind in the 70 miles between Walsenburg and La Junta.

We survived on water we carried and leftover burritos from breakfast.

I am pretty sure that we have many miles of fields and pastures to cycle through in our future.
